How The Deposit Is Held During The Tenants Stay
HouseStay holds the tenant's deposit in trust for the duration of their stay; this means HouseStay does not remit the deposit to the host. If there is any damage during the tenant's stay hosts need to take photos and email our QA team quotes and receipts for any broken items so they can review and approve the claim. Once a claim has been submitted our QA team will review and approve the claim, as soon the claim has been approved the QA team will remit the cost of any damages from the tenant's security deposit.
